Utilities Conversion

The Brief

This was a complex and highly bespoke build for a utilities company. We were asked to design a conversion incorporating a hydraulic crane, as well as racking and a range of welfare additions.  

The Design 

To provide the foundations for this specialist conversion, we fitted plastic side walls and a phenolic floor and door pads for maximum strength and durability. Bespoke steel shelving was then installed along both sides of the vehicle, featuring a combination of cases, open shelving, drawers, and bins. At the front of the vehicle, we added a large drawer and a cone holder.

Naturally, the most distinctive part of this build was the crane. We installed this at the back of the vehicle. We also installed an inverter, additional power sockets and a microwave and a kettle. A night heater was included to ensure the vehicle could comfortably operate around the clock.

To finish off, we fitted a handwash basin, DEB unit, hand towel dispender and coat hooks.
